[NEWS] What’s New this Weekend? August 29,2008

Hello,

We have a couple of new additions to our Item Shop this weekend.

The first addition is a Dungeon Party Package. This package contains: Stamina Saver, Feather of Teleportation, Fairy God Mother’s Bottle, Altered Pieces of Vitality, Altered Pieces of Strength. This package will be in the shop for one week only.

The second addition is an E-Repair Bundle. The Bundle comes with 5 E-Repair Powders plus a free Untamed Hawkman Card. This bundle will be available this weekend only. Friday Afternoon through Monday Afternoon. Get it while you can!

hackers are plaguing the closed beta in a way. there are ways to get to hidden maps, get xp for joining and entering a game, etc.

Rebirth scroll being non-tradeable is a bug, we are trying to fix it as soon as we can.

Rebirth scroll will be in the CS in the future, I don’t know when as the upcoming E5 P2 should also reset your job class.

The patch notes have a guide on how the dungeon works. But I seriously can’t understand it much. Once I get in I’ll see how it works.
You get there through an NPC in each village BTW.

11. Added the 4 deco-pets(the 2 new ones, Arcadia and Love Heart, as well as the 2 old ones).

12. The deco-pets will now pick up loot.

13. Without changing the skill trees, the avatar’s skill and skill cards’ effectiveness has been strengthened.
(However, the Gaia’s Rogue got a new passive)

We’re interested in hearing what kinds of items you’d like to see in the Rappelz Cash Shop in the future.

Don’t worry about pricing, but think about cool items you’d be interested in buying – both decorative and functional.

Try to be reasonable (no +99 Cannons of Betrayal-Slaying) but don’t sweat it if an idea is a little over- or under-powered.

For instance, we know there is a large demand for a “Scroll of Pet Rebirth.” That’s something that we can certainly try to make happen. That’s an obvious one, but what are the things you want that we might not know about?

Tales Runner Event: Hide and Seek!

Come get us!

BigHead, Gneumatic, FlyingPig, and Sl0th will be hiding in the Tales Runner Park. It’s up to you to come find us!

Rules:

1.)We’ll be asking everyone to leave town.
2.)Then we’ll hide.
3.)Then we’ll tell everyone to come back and find us.

Easy right? Sorta.

4.) You’ll have to find a specific GM. The other 3 will be there as decoys. (The GM you have to find will be announced at the time of the event.)
5.) Once you find the correct GM put a leash on them by “Following” and shout “Tag!”. Only players that follow these steps correctly will be allowed to win.

e5 bugs?

a LOT of people have reported some concerning bugs that are upsetting players (I have not played enough today to really comment).

1. drop rate – drop rates seem low for everything including the junk

2. pet xp – does not seem to be consistent

3. character xp – seems lower than before

upcoming epic V event – olympic support event

this event is currently on the korean and EU servers and it was confirmed by itoki that we will get it with e5.
Evidently the gifts are rings and medals. the rings each give +30 to a stat and all can be combined to make a ring that gives all stats?

high ranking gear

the test server even with the high drop rate has been plagued by players being unable to get their hands on r5 even r4 gear, especially staves. I am 104 now with only an r5 belt and weapon on myself and sanddragon armor on my dragon. Some players have no r5 gear for themselves and pets. This is leading to very high prices for r5 gear, even more than the expensive tortus and yeti servers. crazyness!
r6 gear is even harder to find.
if drops are hard to get on a test server with 10x drops….what about on the live servers. something needs to be done.

The main problem that has not been fixed is the hp bug still with bosses….I think the pet aggro bug is there by design but I am unsure.

Test server has been a lot of fun. Yesterday the GMs decided to sell some SS. Unfortunately for those of us DPing we were unable to get any in time. Frustrating that they want you to level to get to the new dungeon but those of us my party were 100+ trying to do just that – and we could not get ss to help us.

Rappelz Introduction

Rappelz is a huge multiplayer online role playing fantasy game that is created in Korea and published by a US company gala-net. It has gone thru various small changes and some large changes thru “Epics.” Currently we are in Epic IV “Revolution” and Epic V is coming to the USA soon. Now is an exciting time to join the game as soon the game will be relatively new for everyone. Of course you will not lose your character with the change in Epic.

The MMORPG game type

An MMORPG game is a massive online game in which players create characters that interact with other players characters. It is a role-playing game during which your character completes quests and kills monsters in order to earn experience and gold. In Rappelz there is also the job point system. This system allows you to spend these JP to acquire or increase the level of skills. You get xp and jp when you kill enemies or do quests but if you die you only lose experience. As a result, they are not always linked which can create interested opportunities. Kill enemies, gain experience and job points, learn new or perfect skills, earn gold to buy or increase the effectiveness of your current experience. This is the heart of an RPG. On rappelz you also have a great community of players and character interactions to help you enjoy your online experience.

The Servers

You can join any of servers. You cannot move characters between servers right now. I would pick a server based on if you know people on one server so that they can help you. Pantera is the player vs player server where there are special player-kill rules. I love Yeti because that is my server.

The Races

Please see my next post for information on the races and classes of the game.
Rappelz is a fun, free multiplayer game to spend time online. Often thru playing you get to know people and it can be a fun experience. IMHO, it is the best MMORPG that is free online right now.

Epic 5 beta server down

went down some time ago, about 5 hours. I do not believe the gms work for another 3+ hrs

On a brighter note, made r4 last night. r4 equipment is a little hard to come by but I am in dps fighting r5 mobz already at lvl 83 so that is pretty sweet. I have realized the power of the pet class and am seriously considering rebirth on my main.

24 hours into the test server

well, i initially had said i would concentrate on my new alt cleric, my sb and my main during the time of the test server but…I worked overnight and had a chance to login and it is a lot of fun. It is rewarding to level quickly, get great drops, by pets from the ah to play with builds, and to dp with people from other servers.
So in the last 24 hrs of gameplay I have:
lvl 55 jlvl 45 sorcerer who is praying for r3 gear drops. He has a +5 L 5 evo1 white dragon, a lvl 38 cerberus, and a lvl 38 angel along with a skele, siren, and yeti. Holding off on the other pets for now due to cash flow issues.
