Here are the Pre-Patch Notes for Epic V Part II. Please keep in mind these additions are subject to change as there may be unforeseen issues any time between now and the release.
1. Addition of Two New Siegeable Dungeons.
2. New Rank 6 Armors for all classes.
3. New Rank 6 Gloves and Boots.
4. New Set of Rank 6 Weapons.
5. New Mount – Qilin.
6. New Rank 5 and 6 Accessories.
7. Level Cap increased from 150 to 170.
8. New event dungeon has been added. Players of all levels will be able to enjoy this new dungeon.
9. 2 New decorative pets have been added.
10. Auto pick-up function has been added to decorative pets.
11. Change in icons of skill cards for first and second jobs. Races will now have a specific icon for skill cards.
12. Changes in UI such as new shortcuts, a shortcut bar, and etc.
13. Character skill renewal.
14. Rank 7 Boost Chips have been added.

Number 2: Resting Place of the White Dragon(aka, TotA)
Number 3: Teleportation Gate of Icefield Basin.

The beetle is the boss of “Shadow of the Dark Dragon”, called “Berserk Guilt”.

Recommended lvls for both dungeons are 150 and up, with higher recommendation for “Heart of the Sand Dragon”.
Number 5 on both dungeons are teleportation points linking to the Icefield Basin, if I am not mistaken. . .

Dark Dragon Equip: “Shadow of the Dark Dragon”
Sand Dragon Equip: “Heart of the Sand Dragon”
Now, by combining equips of the same type will give you additional effects:
Armor + Weapon = Max HP increase
Armor + Helm. = Max MP increase
Armor + Weapon + Helm. = Uber stats increase, in additional to both Max HP and Max MP increase, you will get boosts for str, vit, agi, dex, int, wis, and luc.
I don’t have the exact figures, but I think these equips are permanent, as far as I can tell. . .

We’ve confirmed that there will be a skill reset when Epic 5 Part 2 launches.
There won’t be a JOB reset (so no switching classes), but you will be able to switch your skills around when they are rebalanced.

rappelz – how to dungeon party with a high level pet
In Rappelz, gaming on September 14, 2008 at 3:15 pmWell, now that I have been leveling 2 alts since drop rates are horrible and xp is bad in ss room, I have come across a lot of players who not only are new to the game, which is great, but who also do not listen, which is bad 
Because of this, I wanted to make a “how to dp with high level pets” guide. This will not be the gold standard of guides, and some may have other ideas, but it is a start.
What is a dungeon party?
- see the dungeon party guide here and others
What is a high level pet?
- A high level pet is defined as any pet of a higher level than party members. I would further split this up into r4, r5, evo3, and r6 pets. The higher the level above the party members, the better off the party will be for the party.
- HLP is an abbreviation for a high level pet
What pets can be used?
- technically any pet can be used but usually a desired pet is one that can tank and keep aggro. If party members are smart even a pet without the area of effect skill or threat toggle can effectively be used.
- even bps and rps can tank if they are high enough but ideally you would use the bp to heal and the rp to dd
- my favorite high level pets to use are angel and hawk for tanking and the kenta for damage dealing, if possible.
Why are high level pets different from my same level pet?
- although the high level pets are not as strong on lower level characters (they are nerfed), they still are stronger than a pet the same level as the owner due to higher stats, better skills, high level skills, and better equipment. They also have an inherent dodge bonus due to the level difference between themselves and the mobz
So how do we make sure things go well?
- You need to treat the high level pet as if you would treat a tank
- Let the pet keep the attention or aggro of the mobz – ALL the mobz
- Let the pet hit the pulled mob first
- Let the pet hit the chipped mob first
- DO NOT solo a mob – ideally the clerics can damage deal if the pet does all the tanking.
- If you are being attacked by a mob and cannot solo effectively, do not keep attacking it. Let the high level pet or the tank character in your party take it from you OR use a crowd control spell and do not attack it (stun, sleep, nightmare, etc)
- Realize that in most cases if you do not follow the above rules and you die, it is usually your fault, especially if you are pulling 10+ mobz at a time because if the cleric heals you he will die
- Do I have to have a high level pet to party with people who have high level pets – no not at all. Just do not demand one when partying

[September 12, 2008] – Gala-Net Inc. announced today that it will release “Rappelz Epic V: The Dragonic Age, Part II” later this fall to its free-to-play game portal, gPotato.com in the North American market.
“Rappelz Epic V: The Dragonic Age, Part II” will feature a variety of new updates to the second chapter of this prominent saga. Part II will deliver two new dungeons and a theme dungeon for players to explore. Well here’s your chance. My bosses are calling it “Spread the Word”. I’m calling it “Sl0th’s Army”. You decide which you want to be part of.

We are currently working with our engineers to confirm the IP addresses of all the prize winners. Unfortunately, we cannot send prizes to people out of the country so we need to know who is a valid winner and who is not.
